The closest I've ever been to a skateboard is playing Tony Hawk, but I could watch super slomo footage like this all day.
There are already a few consumer cameras out there that have offer high frame-rates for a 'super slomo' effect, but I think we'll really see it become popular once high-fps shooting becomes the next 'must have' feature on smartphones in the not-too-distant future.
